I received my undergraduate education from the University of Michigan, where I studied psychology and communications. After working for a start-up company developing a mobile health app for goal setting and tracking, I pursued my clinical psychology degree and graduated from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium in 2018. During graduate school and post-doctoral training, I specialized in neuropsychology in addition to gaining experience in a broad range of evidence-based therapies such as CBT and ACT. I contributed to research and publications on healthy aging, dementia, and exercise interventions to support health and cognition in older adults. I also assisted with research on anxiety and mindfulness-based stress reduction. After completing my training, I worked in a psychology inpatient unit and in a behavioral medicine clinic.
Alongside my academic and clinical pursuits, I have been a lifelong athlete. I played competitively on the Michigan Club Tennis Team, applying my psychology and athletic training to refine my own mental performance during competition. While in graduate school, I competed for the Stanford Club Tennis Team and Stanford Triathlon Team. My experience with high-level endurance athletes highlighted the importance of mental training and its impact on successful performance. I receive ongoing mentorship from experienced mental performance providers and sports psychologists, which has helped me to hone my ability to provide mental skills training to others.
